Since our beginning in 1993, Multitech Office Machines has been an innovator and industry leader in all aspects of document-related products and services in the Gulf Coast, Louisiana and Mississippi area.
Multitech Firsts
- Multitech was the first company in the Gulf Coast area to bring to market a high-quality, fully remanufactured, compatible toner cartridge.
- Multitech was the first company in the Gulf Coast area to bring to market the Just Add Paper Program (the “maintenance included” or “free repairs” cartridge).
- Multitech is the only office equipment company in the Gulf Coast area to come from the computer industry and began business as a third party computer and printer maintenance company.
- Multitech developed and brought to market the High Quality MultiMax compatible toner cartridge.
- Multitech developed and brought to market the MultiPrint mps Managed Print Services, the first company in the Gulf Coast area that makes managed print services “manageable”.
- Multitech Office Machines is the largest independent office equipment company in the Gulf Coast area of Louisiana and Mississippi that specializes in third party maintenance and can handle all of you office equipment needs.
Our Management Team
Darrell Cox – President
Darrell began his career in the Office Equipment industry in the early 1980’s, during the days of Large Scale Main Frames. Darrell’s first job in the industry was at Sperry Univac as a Material Administrator in their Third Party Maintenance Division, it was Darrell’s job to locate parts and support for non-Sperry equipment, IBM, DEC, Telex, etc. Darrell was later promoted to a Field Service Engineer for Sperry Univac and serviced Large Scale disk, tape and printer sub-systems at the Various NASA sites in the Gulf Coast area.
In 1988 Darrell became one of three principals in a third party maintenance company that specialized in selling and servicing equipment manufactured by Sperry, Wang Labs and Burroughs. It was here that Darrell witnessed the birth of the laser printer and realized the impact laser printing would have in the importance of the printer and the printed document.
February 1994 ushered in Multitech Office Machines. Darrell saw a lack of professionals in the printer service industry, and prepared to fill a need in the market.
Mike Danna – Vice President
Mike’s career in the office equipment industry began in 1982 while he was taking an advanced electronics course. After graduating in 1984, Mike went to work in the copier industry for a local copier company where his training in electronics and his un-paralleled mechanical ability earned him accolades and promotions.
Multitech was fortunate enough in 1994 to have Mike join our service department as a team leader and trainer. Since 1994 Mike has been promoted numerous times and is currently the company’s Vice President and in charge of sales.
Mikes 25 years of experience and knowledge in the Copier/Printer Industry is un- paralleled. Not only does Mike know what the current office equipment technology does and what it has to offer…he knows the electronic technology behind it and how it does it.

Chris Chatelain – North Shore Sales Manager
Chris began his career at Multitech in 2001 working part time while attending college. Chris soon proved himself to be a Quick study, with not only an ability to make great recommendations, but to also easily grasp and put into application new ideas, concepts, methods and technologies.
Chris’s Proactive leadership skills soon advanced him up the ladder at Multitech, first as a part-time cartridge builder, then to full time Production Manager. Next, came his promotion to the service department and his eventual promotion to Service Manager,
Chris has a very refined business acumen and exemplary people skills. He is currently our North Shore Sales Manager, a Dedicated, innovative and self-motivated team player.
Chris understands today’s Office Equipment and that your fast-paced office requires equipment and service to be better, faster, easier and more economical than ever before. Chris is a seasoned sales professional and will assist you in achieving your organizational objectives; he is on your side.
Kelly St. Romain, Sales Representative
If you are currently a Multitech customer you know Kelly, she began her career at Multitech in 2006 as an Administrative Assistant in the Accounting department. Kelly came to us with stellar credentials, she is proactive, a team player, a people person and has proven herself to be natural leader.
Kelly’s promotion into the sales department was as “natural and comfortable” for her as it was for Multitech, with a strong sales background she will be an asset to our sales department.
Kelly has a very well versed accounting background; she understands all aspects of business administration and back office operations. You’ll be in good hands with Kelly as your Multitech representative. She understands today’s Office Equipment and will help you get your job done exactly the way you want it.
